ChemChina began its finance informatization and consolidation project, on Sept 11, with Yang Xingqiang, deputy general manager, and Ross Macallister, chief information officer, on hand for the opening meeting.
Zhuang Xinyue, a senior manager at IBM, reported on the project on behalf of team members, to describe its background, goals, scope, framework, different responsibilities, and risk control, and gave a brief description of the work in the next phase.
BlueStar’s deputy general manager, Zhang Lijun, praised the company on behalf of staff members, for its trust and recognition and said he wanted to use this chance to prove he could live up to the its expectation, in spite of current difficulties.
Zhang said that, for greater efficiency, everyone should understand their responsibility. Management needed to be strengthened and communications among departments improved and business-oriented. The project will go well, he said, if we stick to the company’s program methods and have uniform deployment,.
Macallister spoke at length about information construction and asked all enterprises to take part in the project with a clear understanding for the full benefit and to keep it within the budget.
This project runs for two years and covers accounting policy unification, financial performance, management, and rules, statement management and consolidation, and analysis service and centralization.
