We have learned from the Industrial Cleaning Association of China that it has developed new industrial cleaning regulations for an “Industrial cleaning company qualifications and evaluation method”, and “Industrial cleaning company qualification and standards”.
Industry experts say that industrial cleaning is a 20-bn-yuan/year business. Industrial cleaning is used for large equipment across all industries to improve efficiency, prolong service life, conserve energy, and reduce consumption and environmental pollution. In China, however, it has not had any widely applied standards.
When the Industry Cleaning Association of China was founded at the end of 2011, it began developing an industry code with the help of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, National Association of Chemical Construction Enterprises, Petroleum Engineering Construction Industry Association, and the China Construction Industry Association’s Petrochemical branch. These five set up a review committee to be responsible for certifying qualified enterprises, to improve techniques, services, and management, with the ultimate goal of improving safety, energy conservation, and emission reductions.
At its first session, the Industrial Cleaning Association of China’s General Council passed a bill on “Industrial cleaning industry qualifications and regulations”, on May 6. It went on to pass the "Industrial cleaning company qualification and evaluation method", the "Industrial cleaning company qualifications and standards", and various rules. The five associations had a coordinating committee to decide on the qualification evaluation work and began receiving applications for certification in September.
The certification standards and evaluation cover a range of things, from available capital to equipment, technology and safety controls. Financial capacity and equipment directly affect the qualification level. The regulations also have clear requirements on project management and service level to meet customer needs.
