Bluestar Elkem and two of its R&D personnel won group, individual, and scientific contribution awards at the International Foundry Expo, held by the American Foundry Association, in St Louis, Missouri. The group contribution award cited Elkem’s devotion to the foundry business and the association. Mike Riabov, Elkem’s new field accounts manager, got an individual award for his outstanding work, while the scientific contribution award went to Doug White, Elkem’s technical services manager, for his contribution to the industry through practical research and information sharing especially in cast iron.
Elkem is a leading producer of high-performance inoculants and nodulizers for gray and ductile iron and has sales offices in the United States, Canada, and elsewhere around the world and a customer R&D team in Norway specializing in technical assistance and support for foundry customers. Also, Elkem supports the American Foundry Society and its technical program.
