During the third assessment by the SASAC for the 2010-2012 period, ChemChina received an excellent energy conservation and emission reduction company award. The company recorded 1.43 tons of standard coal consumption per 10,000 yuan ($1,636) of output value, down 17.6 percent compared with 2009, exceeding the target of 8.7 percent.
In recent years, ChemChina has pushed ahead "zero emissions" management through technical innovation, equipment upgrades and breakthroughs. At the same time, it has followed a circular economy concept that focuses on innovation, continuous improvement, cleaner production, and enhanced resource utilization efficiency through technology and management. The company has also been extending industry chains, improving the circular economy system, and cultivating a batch of growing production enterprises distinguished by efficient operations and low input, consumption and emissions.
