Recently, REC Solar Energy, an overseas enterprise under Bluestar, attended the 2016 World Future Energy Summit (WFES) held at Abu Dhabi, UAE, and showcased its cutting-edge products and achievements of innovation. At the prestigious summit, REC Solar Energy displayed for the first time ever a full range of products, including the highly efficient TwinPeak solar panels and the floating solar panels on water, and introduced via video REC Solar Energy's new projects in Middle East and Africa.
The highly efficient TwinPeak solar panel’s WP is 280W, and the per square meter output power is even higher, with the efficiency gain reaching up to 17%. It has been applied in the large solar energy projects in Middle East and Africa. The Redtag project of the logistics center of the retail giant in UAE, BMA, is provided with clean energy through the 200-plus TwinPeak solar panels. The project is among the first batch of projects suggested in the new initiative of UAE Shams Dubai, which aims to promote rapid development of the private housing rooftop PV market. . Besides solar panels, REC Solar Energy provides a complete set of EPC professional techniques for the project.
At the summit, REC Solar Energy showcased how its products were applied in Dubai International Airport. This project was completed last year, which involved 2,592 solar panels. Located in an eye-catching spot of the Dubai International Airport, the project manifests UAE’s determined efforts to utilize renewable energy for power generation. REC Solar Energy also displayed its solar energy panel model which is the largest of its kind in the world. The unique-shape model was built with 130 solar panels by adopting new technologies of innovation. The model exhibition project is actually located in Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.
The installation and application of the REC solar panels are not limited to the rooftop or the ground. During the summit, the REC Solar Energy showcased the solar panels floatable on water, which can be installed on the floating solar bases and possess the same properties and weight as the conventional solar panels. When the space is limited, the installation of floating solar energy facilities expands the usable space on water and meets the energy-conservation requirement of the real estate enterprises. In addition, they reduce the evaporation of water, which is especially good to water-deficient area.
According to Luc Graré, senior vice president of REC Solar Energy in the Middle East and Africa, the company’s products are largely used in the landmark projects of UAE, which boosts renewable energy development of UAE and other countries of the region. Considering the low cost for power generation by UAE public solar photovoltaic equipment, REC Solar Energy wishes to enjoy long-term development in this field.
At the UN Climate Change Conference held in Paris, the Middle Eastern countries call for reduction in carbon emission and increase in the use of renewable energy. The WFES host UAE pledged that by 2021 clean energy shall account for one quarter of the total energy consumed by the country. As predicted by itative organs, by 2017 the solar energy market will see brisk supply and demand, and the new installed capacity will increase from 1GW in 2017 to nearly 2GW in 2019.
REC Solar Energy has been present at many exhibitions in Middle East and Africa. Among all the exhibitions, this WFES is the largest in scale. REC Solar Energy is committed to maintaining its leading position in the field of solar energy solutions, and exporting innovative solutions, high-quality products and engineering knowledge to help the Middle Eastern and African countries achieve the renewable energy application and development goals.
