On May 16, Gary Faye Locke, former American Minister of Commerce and former American Ambassador to China, led a delegation to visit ChemChina and was warmly received by Chairman Ren Jianxin. Both sides exchanged views on Chinese companies' going global and the importance of more mutual trust in Sino-U.S. economic and trade relations and agreed that openness, honesty and trust were the foundation of cooperation. Mr. Locke stressed that Chinese and American economies were complementary to each other, which was good for bilateral cooperation and would benefit people in both countries and expressed his views on the entry of Chinese companies to the American market and their performance in it. He acknowledged ChemChina's efforts to benefit Chinese consumers with high-quality new chemical materials and agricultural chemicals, congratulated on and praised ChemChina’s outstanding performance in internationalization in recent years and held high expectations for the company’s future development.
