Huaxing Petrochemical and Zhenghe Group Join the ChemChina E-Commerce Platform

On June 24, the launch ceremony for the trial operation of the ChemChina e-commerce platform was held at Huaxing Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. and Zhenghe Group, respectively and on that day alone, a turnover of 666 tons and of 688 tons was traded online respectively for the two companies.

At the launch ceremony, Huaxing Petrochemical and Zhenghe Group received over 20 orders on the platform and successfully completed the whole transaction process from payment to delivery. Clients were satisfied with the functions of the platform and spoke highly of the conveniences it brought.

Huaxing Petrochemical and Zhenghe Group were another two petrochemical subsidiaries on the e-commerce platform following Shandong Changyi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. From June 20 to 23, the e-commerce project team trained the staff and conducted the user acceptance test for the two companies, checked the rationality and feasibility of their functional demand survey and result analysis and established sale rules, and guided future users on how to operate the e-commerce platform. The test was composed of three modules: membership registration, the trading process and its maintenance as well as the billing process and its maintenance.  

At the launch ceremony, Gao Jian, CEO of E-Commerce Unit of China National Chemical Information Center, gave a brief yet vivid account of the functions of the platform. He started with the background of the digitalization age and client demands, explained the idea of "one-stop trade and whole-process services" and the service mode that was data based, service oriented and focused on resource integration and sharing, and made a presentation about the upcoming mobile application of the platform.

In his remarks, Teng Yuanfang, Deputy Chief Commercial Officer of ChemChina Department of Commercial Management hoped subsidiaries would pay more attention to customer experience and improve their customer services and corporate management via the platform. Xu Wanrong, Deputy Chief Commercial Officer of the Department of Commercial Management, ChemChina Petrochemical Co., Ltd., noted that the platform was an innovation in trading efficiency and business mode and an important vehicle to realize sustainable development and improve the core competitiveness of petrochemical companies. Guo Yanfeng, Deputy Chief E-Commerce Officer of the Department of Commercial Management, ChemChina Petrochemical Co., Ltd., reviewed the e-commerce development history of petrochemical companies, pointed out that the e-commerce platform was good for enhancing sale efficiency and customer experience and looked forward to future growth with clients.

Executive Deputy General Manager Sun Xueyi of Huaxing Petrochemical and Party Secretary Han Qili of Zhenghe Group agreed that the platform would help standardize the trading process, promote e-payment, make the whole trading process transparent and release industry information, thus would be able to provide more convenient and efficient services for clients and could allow companies to deliver better customer services with less cost and divert their sales from traditional channels to the e-commerce platform.

The trial operation of the platform at Huaxing Petrochemical and Zhenghe Group marked another solid step towards the completion of the ChemChina e-commerce platform. The platform is aimed to build a digital ecological system serving the whole chemical industrial chain covering chemical manufacturing businesses, trade businesses, terminal users, warehousing and logistics businesses, processing and delivery businesses and financial institutions and grow into the most influential e-commerce trading and service platform in the chemical industry.
