On September 3, ChemChina Chairman Ren Jianxin was invited to attend the luncheon party hosted by Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi during B20 Summit.
At the luncheon party, Ren, on behalf of ChemChina and Pirelli, gave warm greetings and pay high respect to the Italian Prime Minister before expressing thanks for the latter’s support to the deal. He briefed Renzi about the progress of the integration of Pirelli into ChemChina and the strategic vision of both sides. The Prime Minister said that he has a deep feeling for Pirelli and its CEO Tronchetti, and spoke highly of Mr. Tronchetti as a world-class entrepreneur. “I hope Ferrari will win the F1 race sponsored by Pirelli, for Ferrari and Pirelli are the pride of Italy,” he wittily added. He was gratified at the integration and development of Pirelli in China, believing that ChemChina and Pirelli could achieve new successes. Prime Minister Matteo Renzi also introduced to all guests the Italian investment environment and economic successes.
Chairman Ren Jianxin went to this party during B20 Summit. The Business 20 (B20) Summit, a meeting under the framework of G20, provides a significant platform for the international business community to participate in global economic governance. The B20 meeting brings together more than 800 business leaders from 32 countries and regions and 26 international organizations, including business representatives from more than 140 Global 500 companies.
