On September 21, the 15th International Chemical Industry Fair (ICIF) of China 2016 was opened at Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center. Among the visitors was Gu Xiulian, former NPC Standing Committee Vice Chairman. At the ChemChina's exhibition booth, Gu listened with keen interest to ChemChina's work report and trade at the fair.
For the first time in the ICIF history, ChemChina presents an exhibition composed of materials science, life science, advanced manufacturing and basic chemical engineering this year. On the first day of the fair, it announced the official launch of its e-commerce platform which is built and run by ChemChina's e-commerce subsidiary, data-based and service-oriented, and centering on resource integration and sharing; it's a national comprehensive e-commerce platform in the chemical industry capable of providing "one-stop and whole-process trade services". With both online and offline resources, it offers all-round e-commerce services such as membership, transaction, online payment, logistics and information for clients in the chemical industry. It's said to have served tens of thousands of clients since its trial operation, trading over 500,000 tons of chemical goods.
As to materials science, the highlight is the product portfolio of "auto parts". ChemChina integrates over 50 auto parts produced by 15 of its subsidiaries, showing its leading-edge technology in the area of new chemical materials. It also displays special rubber materials used for some domestically made airplanes and the membrane materials that dominate the water treatment market.
As to life science, ChemChina builds a miniature farm to showcase products such as methionine and vitamins made by Adisseo, the world's biggest animal nutrition additive maker under ChemChina. Besides, the technology of spraying pesticide via drone developed by ADAMA, an Israeli company under China National Agrochemical Corporation, is a modern agricultural solution and fully demonstrates the core concept of "simple agriculture."
Advanced manufacturing represents a direction of industrial upgrade in China. In this area, ChemChina presents the Cinturato P7 tire made by Pirelli and an interactive, intelligent platform of KraussMaffei. It's learnt that the Cinturato P7 tire is Pirelli's first high-performance tire developed for medium- and high-horsepower vehicles and is warmly welcomed by luxury auto brands. KraussMaffei shows its advantages in modern manufacturing through interaction with the audience.
As to basic chemical engineering that concerns national welfare and people's livelihood, ChemChina rolls out high-quality gasoline and diesel products that are up to national standard V and alkali chemical products, the diverse downstream applications of which echoes the exhibition theme "Life Needs Chemicals."
ChemChina's exhibition booth attracts an endless stream of visitors from Central Asia, Europe and Africa, who fully recognized ChemChina's intelligent and advanced manufacturing technology and ability.
