(Munich, September 27, 2016) The new subsidiary of the Algeria-based Cevital Group recently started using 23 twin-screw extruders from KraussMaffei Berstorff to produce window profiles on 19 lines in Bordj Bou Arreridj. The scope of supply also includes four co-extrusion combinations which manufacture window & door profiles with cost-effective core materials.
Window & door profile is Cevital’s an additional production line. The KraussMaffei Berstorff twin-screw extruders in the proven 32D Series and the conical models now well-established on the market are being used at the new production plant for the production of window & door profiles and roller shutter slats on a large scale. “We are very proud to count this newcomer among our customers in the area of window & door profile extrusion, a new business area that Cevital has created with our full-fledged and advanced technologies." said a delighted Peter Oswald, Head of Product Management at KraussMaffei Berstorff. "The order volume shows the extent to which Cevital wants to position itself on the market."
During an extensive training program, the machine operators were thoroughly acquainted with the functions and technology of the machines. "We would like to thank KraussMaffei Berstorff and its team of experts for their strong local commitment,” said Hocine Medjahad, Director of Supply Chain in charge of the purchase, installation and start of the plant. “Through initial training, our employees can now properly operate the machines according to production engineering criteria. As a newcomer, we also attach great importance to the communication and cooperation with KraussMaffei Berstorff. Other process engineering training courses are planned in order to equip our engineers and technicians with the necessary technological know-how to permanently manufacture competitive products. We will therefore consolidate our market position and secure competitive advantages", added Hocine Medjahad.
