On September 29, REC Solar Energy, an overseas enterprise under Bluestar, announced that the efficiency of the poly-silicon solar cell produced with the company’s latest technology is up 20%, among the best of the industry.
The key to the increase of the efficiency lies in the improvement of technology and skills in production. According to the indoor and outdoor tests, the efficiency of the cells processed through REC’s solar energy production line reached 20.21% on average and 20.47% at maximum, making REC the first manufacturer that achieved such high efficiency in terms of the industrial poly-silicon production. The company plans to apply the new technology to comprehensive production line in Singapore in November 2016.
CEO Steve O’Neil of REC Solar Energy says that the company has been devoted to the research and development of new products and techniques to provide customers with high-quality, high-power and value-added solar cell panel. The achievement obtained this time is attributed to the effort in every step of the company’s value chain. The solar cell panel produced with the TwinPeak technology has led the industry in its efficiency. The latest technology developed on this basis will help produce more advanced solar energy products with higher efficiency and provide greater value for global users.
As the efficiency increases, the solar energy panel will store more sunlight and transform it into energy, hence remarkably improve the rate of return and power output of the equipment.
