On July 21, 2017, China National Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd. (CNCEC) held a ceremony at Sanming Doublewheel Chemical Machinery, officially launching the one-month campaign themed with “Equipment – Excellent Chinese Mechanics”. Present at the opening ceremony were Sanming General Union Executive Vice Chairman Zhang Sumei, Shaxian County General Union Chairman Huang Binjiang, CNCEC General Manager and Sanming Doublewheel Chemical Machinery Chairman Cai Ting, Golz of KraussMaffei Injection Molding Machinery President Golz, and KraussMaffei Integration Executive Vice President Boden, etc.
Since Chinese Premier Li Keqiang mentioned “craftsmanship spirit” in the Report on the Work of the Government, there has been a boom of learning the spirit. As an important chemical equipment manufacturer in China, Sanming Doublewheel Chemical Machinery has a 60-year fine tradition of equipment manufacturing. At present, it is at a critical period of accelerated integration with KraussMaffei and transformation and upgrading. “Under the new conditions, we shall carry forward the craftsmanship spirits of diligence, earnestness, entrepreneurship and respect for teachers. Meanwhile, we shall further understand the new connotations of the craftsmanship spirit in modern times, namely originality, pursuit of excellence and unity of knowledge and action,” said Cai Ting, President of Sanming Doublewheel Chemical Machinery.
At the opening ceremony, Pan Mingyun, a senior technician and NC borer at the machining workshop of the company who had just won the honorary title of “National Labor Medal” this year and Sanming's first recipient of State Council Special Allowance, and National Model Worker Lin Zhineng and other mechanics took an oath to express their determination and confidence in striving to be good mechanics.
German’s craftsmanship culture has always been highly regarded as a model of “craftsmanship spirit”. As an outstanding representative of Germany’s advanced industrial manufacturers, KraussMaffei has a history of nearly 180 years. Golz indicated that, Germans integrate the craftsmanship into modern industrial manufacturing and thus making Germany a leading manufacturing country. It is also one of the reasons for which KraussMaffei has made a success. Ye Wei, an expert from KraussMaffei and Chief Operator of Sanming Doublewheel Chemical Machinery, on the basis of her work experience in Germany and the cultural traditions of China and Germany, talked about her understanding of Germany’s craftsmanship spirit and hoped that the company can integrate the spirit into its operation and lay a solid foundation for the two sides to cooperate with each other in the fields of injection molding machine and electric control cabinet in the future.
As the event started, the mechanic show titled “Master Mechanic – Power of Role Models” took place concurrently. The exhibition is composed of “Craftsmanship in the New Period”, “Master Mechanics” and “Role Models”, demonstrating the modern connotations of the craftsmanship spirit and role models of all sectors of China. Visitors may show their manifestos at the interaction area and the official account of WeChat. According to Li Cheng, Executive Deputy General Manager of Sanming Doublewheel Chemical Machinery, during the event, other activities such as the lecture of “everybody talk about the craftsmanship spirit” and the online activity of “say ’good-bye’ to ‘perhaps’” will be held, apart from the activity of “Master Mechanic – Power of Role Models”. The lecture will invite employees from all workshops to give lectures on the craftsmanship spirit on the basis of their actual conditions, while the online activity will ask for advices on improving quality and efficiency of product, technology and business process, and adopt those constructive suggestions for implementation.
It is learnt that, the campaign was planned and initiated by CNCEC in all its subsidiaries, in order to seek out excellent mechanics, make the craftsmanship spirit take root among the employees and make it the action principle of employees and the driving force for development of company. At present, all the subsidiaries have successively carried out various learning, demonstration and promotion activities, and the campaign of Sanming Doublewheel Chemical Machinery will set an example for and be promoted to other companies.
