The Opening Ceremony of the Elkem Foundry Products Plant subordinated to Elkem AS, an overseas enterprise of Bluestar, was held in Shizuishan, Ningxia a few days ago. Related leaders from Shizuishan Municipal People’s Government and China Foundry Association, Elkem’s customers and staff representatives gathered for the celebration and visited the new plant.
The unified management standards of Elkem Foundry Products, i.e. EHS and EBS, will be applied to the new plant. There are raw materials and energy advantages required by production at the location of the new plant, including quartz, coke, magnesium metal and rare earth, with a current annual production capacity up to 10,000t alloy.
Roland Hennigfeld, VP of Sales & Marketing in Elkem Foundry Products, introduced the product strategy and business model of Elkem Foundry Products at the Opening Ceremony. Elkem currently owns 6 production bases and a worldwide sales network, which can meet the requirements of cast iron production for localization. In addition, customers’ requirements can be satisfied in a more rapid and effective manner by its experienced technical service team, extensive product portfolio and flexible and advanced production technology.
