Pirelli ranked No. 1 of automobile part industry in the 2018 Sustainability Yearbook published by RobecoSAM and was honored the Gold RobecoSAM Sustainability Assessment Award in 2018, keeping its leadership in sustainable development.
As a professional ity for global sustainability investment, RobecoSAM annually assesses enterprises’ capability for sustainable development from aspects of economy & finance, environment and social performance, and jointly publishes the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. The Sustainable Development Yearbook is published by RobecoSAM annually, aiming to explore outstanding enterprises in sustainable development of economy, environment and social performance, and is honored the most comprehensive and precise publication for global sustainable development. Though the average score of the whole industry was 42, Pirelli got the score of 83. This result is based on one assessment conducted by RobecoSAM in 2017 when Pirelli not listed on any stock exchange actively participated in the assessment.
2,479 companies from 60 industries in the world were incorporated into the scope of selection, and Pirelli, as one of Italian enterprises participating in this assessment, was honored “Gold Sustainability Assessment Award in 2018” together with CNH and Saipem. According to report of RobecoSAM, 73, 78 and 118 enterprises in these assessed were respectively honored the Gold Award, Silver Award and Bronze Award.
