Chairman Ren Jianxin cordially met with David Kimelfeld, President of the Greater Lyon, France at ChemChina headquarters on May 4.
Ren thanked Kimelfeld for Lyon’s long-term support and admired its achievements in innovation, environmental protection, new energy development, and other fields, saying that the internationalization journey of ChemChina started from Lyon and the successful acquisition of Adisseo and BSI laid a solid foundation for its internationalization process. The two companies have maintained sustained growth and strong global competitiveness, thanks largely to Lyon’s excellent innovation mechanism and R&D strength, he added.
Mr. Kimelfeld was elected President of the Greater Lyon in 2017 and his predecessor, Mr. Gérard Collomb, entered the cabinet of President Macron to serve as Interior Minister. Kimelfeld thanked ChemChina for choosing to invest in Lyon, promising that the metropolitan government will continue to provide strong support for ChemChina’s enterprises in Lyon from such aspects as R&D, approval, and resource coordination so as to continuously improve their competitiveness.
