Zhonghao Chenguang Research Institute,a ChemChina subsidiary engaged in R&D and production of new polymer materials such as organic fluorine, staged a new mask equipped with e-PTFE microfiltration membrane in a very short time. The innovative development can replace the meltblown non-woven fabric, an essential raw material for medical masks which is in shortage and has experienced a great price hike. Moreover, the new material has higher standard of protection and is reusable after washing and disinfection. It was widely reported by media including CCTV and gained appreciation by all sectors of society.
The new mask recently launched an open solicitation for its name on the Internet. It became a buzz topic among the employees of ChemChina and Sinochem and netizens, who had a heated discussed about its names. Ning Gaoning, Chairman of ChemChina and Sinochem, also joined in the topic and came up with a meaningful name “SpringSmell”. It indicated that in the fight against epidemic, we smell the breath of spring and the victory is approaching. Ning added that the new e-PTFE mask, different from the common mask, is comfortable, good-looking and reusable, which meets the today’s trend that people have to wear the mask for a long time. Ning expected Zhonghao Chenguang to develop the product well and build it to be a branded fashionable one.
