Yang Xingqiang, ChemChina President, and Hao Zhigang, Chairman of Bluestar and Adisseo, met with Zheng Xiangdong, Vice Mayor of Chongqing, on June 2. During their meeting, they exchanged ideas on further promoting Adisseo’s innovative aquatic feed solution—the FeedKind? protein project, and discussed strengthening future cooperation in more areas.
This meeting is closely related to the implementation of FeedKind? protein project. During the meeting, Hao Zhigang and Wang Hao, Head of Adisseo China, introduced the progress of FeedKind? protein project to the guests and explained the key technologies.
Zheng Xiangdong looked forward to deepening cooperation with ChemChina and Adisseo, and explained Chongqing’s advantages in transportation, logistics and energy. Zheng pointed out that in the new round of China Western Development, Chongqing enjoys unique advantages, and will provide vigorous support to Adisseo’s project in energy, electricity, policy and other aspects. He also hoped that in the future, Chongqing can carry out exchanges with ChemChina in new materials and promote more mutual strategic cooperation in R&D, talents, and industrial chain.
Adisseo targets to boost the development of China’s aquatic feed industry through research and innovation. In late February, Adisseo announced the establishment of a joint venture with Calysta, an innovative alternative protein producer, in order to promote the fermentation protein FeedKind? to the Asian market. Adisseo and Calysta will jointly build the world’s first commercial production plant of FeedKind? protein in China. It is expected that the first phase of 20,000 tons of annual capacity will be put into operation in 2022, and the second phase will continue to increase capacity based on the market operation in the first phase.
