A group of China HaoHua Chemical Corp (CHC) representatives visited Red Army veterans, elderly cadres, and people in financial difficulties at revolutionary base areas this past Jan 1 to 18, to extend condolences and to convey their best wishes for the Chinese New Year.
Ren Jianming, the deputy general manager of ChemChina, and company leaders of CHC visited Zhang Xilei, a retired Red Army cadre, on Jan 16, to give her their best wishes for the New Year.
One group visited with villagers in Taya and Bei Gunlonggou in a rural part of Hebei on Jan.11, to offer condolences to 10 families with financial difficulties and some elderly cadres at the village’s Party branch who have fought long and hard to raise the village up out of poverty. The group had a meeting with the Party members of the two villages to discuss new achievements in the “Serve the people” poverty alleviation project.
Elsewhere, the group talked with cadres from the Poverty Alleviation office of Shi Jiazhuang city, where Zhang Jianhui, its director, spoke highly of the poverty alleviation efforts. He said that the poverty reduction project, which was organized to deal with local conditions, benefited people on a larger scale than any direct helps to households did, and it turned out to be more efficient in alleviating poverty. Zhang said that the practice could be expanded to other cities and counties.
Every unit of the company paid a visit to its retired staff members and especially retired staff members who were ill, and Party members with financial difficulties to offer condolences, provide gifts, and wish them a healthy and happy Year of the Dragon.
