A videoconference was held to promote ChemChina Petrochemical Corp's ERP program on April 24. The meeting was attended by more than 200 people including leaders from ChemChina, data center, and ChemChina Petrochemical Corporation, as well as consultants from IBM Global Business Services. The meeting introduced objectives, scope, plans and methods of ERP program and defined responsibilities of the project team.

ERP program is an important measure adopted by ChemChina Petrochemical Corporation to implement central management of legal persons and strengthen control of operations, as well as meeting demands for solidifying the enterprise’s results of administrative reforms, boosting lean management, tapping potential and improving core competitive strength. The year 2012 is essential for the corporation to realize the overall objective for informatization and the management system in the “One Center and Two Systems”. As the schedule is tight and tasks are heavy, project construction remains of great significance to the realization of informatization. The project team and enterprises should improve awareness to take the corporation's future developments into special account. Leaders should value the ERP program, which is deemed as the “Chief Leader” project. Efforts should be made for business surveys and design and planning and the element tasks should be carried out to lay the foundation for implementation and applications of the ERP program. We should make overall plans and take all factors into consideration, so the administration, procurement and coordination office could be combined.

ChemChina Petrochemical Corporation's ERP program is divided into five stages, which cover 14 months as planned as a strategy of “Template Formation, Centralized Design and Online Batch by Batch.”
