Hangzhou Water Treatment Center (“HWTC”) and Zhejiang Water Conservancy Technology Promotion Center has jointly developed a successful “sea island integrated water system device”. This device, which adopts the patent products developed by HTWC such as the energy recycling device, hydraulic recycling purification unit and electro-bacteriostasis device etc., is able to reduce the energy consumption to 3.0kW•h/m3, and has obvious bacteriostatic and turbidity-reducing effects without adding normal bactericides. Convenient in use, it is also pollution-free.
This device is characterized by its low cost, small occupying area, high automation, convenient operation and management. It is particularly suitable for use on small islands, small and scattered villages along the coast as well as coastal enterprises and public institutions. The device also contributes to safeguarding water-supply, socio-economic development of Zhejiang province and of all islands and coastal regions nationwide. It is of key significance in mitigating China’s water resource crisis by means of promoting the localization of desalination equipment, reducing cost and rapidly advancing desalination industry.
After expert review and recommendation, the “research and promotion on sea island integrated water system device” was awarded third prize at the “Zhejiang Water Conservancy Technological Innovation Award 2011” by the Department of Water Resources of Zhejiang province.
