In recent days, the Ministry of Science and Technology, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of State Council, and All China Federation of Trade Unions have jointly named the third group of national innovation enterprises. ChemChina Rubber Guilin Co. Ltd. (Guilin Tyre) is among those on the list. Having become a national level innovation enterprise, the company enjoys key support of the country in science and technology, and receives preferential treatment in constructing a scientific and technological platform, absorbing scientific and technological talents, and commercializing scientific and technological results.
Guilin Tyre has continually strengthened establishing and promoting innovation culture. It has improved technological development and innovation capacity, introduced and cultivated talents to build up a team shouldering heavy burdens and fighting hard battles. It has integrated production, studying and research, incessantly enriched, explored and improved innovation and development platform, accelerated improving technologies, sped up commercializing technological achievements, and played a significant role in economic restructuring. In 2010, it applied for 27 patents, including 11 invention patents and 16 practical new-type patents. It has won 16 patent izations, including four invention patents and 12 new-type patents. By the end of last year, the company had applied for 172 patents, and won 79 patents.
