Haohua Yuhang Chemical Co., Ltd. has promoted business development with technological innovations. Since 2008, it passed provincial level authentication for seven technological innovation projects. It had also been approved to establish the first chlor-alkali chemical industrial engineering technology research center in the province. It won 10 provincial and municipal scientific awards, which created a total of 53 million yuan in profit.
Haohua Yuhang’s core strategy is technological innovation. It has vigorously strengthened cooperation among industries, universities and research institutes, launched technological innovations and reform, actively introduced advanced production technologies and equipment and has improved facility technologies. It has developed incentives for scientific and technological awards, deduction of proportions for use of patents and profits from use of patents. It has established the Research and Development Project Management Measures and Scientific Achievement Management Measures. Each year the company awards staff members who come up with new innovations in the science and technology fields as an incentive to develop the company as a whole.
To consolidate the hardware basis for technological innovation, the company set up a technological center in early 2007 to manage all the 380 technical staff. Each year, it invests 10 million yuan to conduct a market survey and develop new products. Since 2008, it has invested 26 million yuan to purchase 20 advanced analysis detecting instruments, including electron microscopes, liquid chromatograph, and British Marlvern laser particle analyzers. It has set up a PVC polymerizing lab and standard instrument lab and expanded two analysis labs to become one of the few companies in the country with PVC development facilities. It has successively developed type 7 and type 8 general resins and YH1700, YH2000 and YH2500 typed high polymerization resins to fill the gaps in the enterprise.
In the course of investing more in technologies, the company has stressed introducing internationally advanced production technologies and equipment. In March this year, it completed constructing and putting into use the double-250,000-ton ionic membrane caustic soda and PVC resin projects, and introduced advanced technologies and equipment, such as Japan’s Chisso 108m3 polymerizer, membrane pole pitch electrolyzer, membrane process denitration and pressure swing adsorption hydrogen recovery. These projects are already thought to be domestically advanced.
