On May 23 afternoon, ChemChina President Ren Jianxin paid a special visit to Mr. Ted Baillieu, Governor of the State of Victoria in Australia, in Melbourn.
President Ren updated the governor about the planning of Qenos during China’s 12th Five-Year period and the business operation and the progress of the expansion project of the company. He extended to Mr. Baillieu his appreciation for the consistent support shown by the Victorian state government towards Qenos, especially for the direct subsidy and funding the government has granted to the company for her projects related to capacity expansion and energy conservation. Mr. Ren also indicated his confidence in the continued contribution Qenos will make to the growth of the local economy, job creation and community development.
Governor Ted Baillieu thanked President Ren for his special visit and briefed him on the sound environment and convenient public facilities Victoria has to offer for foreign investment, reiterating his government’s support for Qenos projects.
The two sides had lively and productive discussions, reached consensus on the contributions made by Qenos to local development and exchanged gifts with each other.
