On the morning of August 9th, Heilongjiang Haohua Chemical embraced its foundation-laying ceremony for two 300,000 t/a projects, namely 300,000 t/a ionic exchange membrane caustic soda and 300,000 t/a PVC.
The most advanced ionic exchange membrane technologies are adopted in the plant as well as in the engineering of all process equipment and piping installation, instrumentation, electric parts and civil works. At present, a detailed site survey has been completed; long-term run equipment like electrolyzer and polymerization reactor are under inquiry and tender; contracts for the compilation of feasibility study on power supply system have been concluded; moreover, the company has verified the project power supply scheme with the Heilongjiang Electric Power Research Institute; the construction drawing design is underway by the China Tianchen Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. In addition, the company carried out technical exchange on circulating water, desalinized water and sewage disposal with several companies including the Hangzhou Development Center of Water Treatment Technology, etc. The proposed total investment of the project is RMB1.57 billion. Currently, all project funding has been made available.
The project began construction in August 2009 and is expected to be completed and put into operation by October 2010. Annual sales revenue increase is estimated to reach up to RMB3.38 billion and profits and tax of RMB260 million after achieving targeted output. (Jiang Zhongli)
