On August 9th, Jiangxi Xinghuo Organic Silicone Plant broke ground for its expansion and revamping project. Wu Xinxiong, Governor of Jiangxi Province, helped kick off the project. ChemChina President Ren Jianxin and Vice-president Yang Xingqiang, together with BlueStar Acting President Bai Xinping were at the ground-breaking ceremony.
The kick-off of the new construction and the revamping at Xinghuo indicates that Jiangxi Province will become a major manufacturing base of advanced chemical materials in China and even in the world at large. Committed to "Traditional Chemicals, Advanced Materials," ChemChina has made great headway in organic silicone and other areas of advanced materials in recent years through organic growth and active M&As.
Mr. Ren believes that the launch of the new project at Xinghuo is significant for the sustainable development of the company and its contribution to the local economy. He encourages Xinghuo to step up engineering design, quality control and management efficiency in project construction and strive for the earliest possible start-up of the new facilities so as to make due contribution to the provincial economy.
As one of the major subsidiaries of ChemChina for advanced chemical materials, Jiangxi Xinghuo Organic Silicone Plant achieved remarkable progress these years, with its capacity expanding from 10,000 t/a initially to 100,000 t/a and currently 200,000 t/a. The revamping project would help scale the capacity up to 300,000 t/a. With total investment of RMB4 billion, the integrated project of new facilities construction and existing facilities revamping is among the key projects of ChemChina during the "11th-Five-Year Plan Period." Once the integrated project is completed, Xinghuo will be the largest among the most competitive organic silicone producers in the world. (Du Yanqing)
