ChemChina commends model individuals for outstanding sales performance

On June 6th, ChemChina held a meeting to honor 164 star individuals for their remarkable sales performance.
ChemChina President Ren Jianxin addressed the meeting, stressing the importance of establishing a sound marketing system. According to Mr. Ren, it is a general trend to centralize and synergize sales within a single business unit. Overcapacity and excessive competition are plain market reality that all companies have to face regardless of the financial crisis. The strategy to counter that grave problem is to transform sales from simple production and product management to modern marketing through management transformation and innovation along with accelerated adjustment of product and business portfolios. A scientific and systematic marketing network should be set up to optimize distribution channels, enhance branding and establish customer-oriented business processes, sharing and synergizing in-house resources and achieving economy of scale. Such a transformation should start essentially from the establishment of an IT-based marketing system.
Mr. Ren emphasized that the three fundamentals for setting up the marketing system include the introduction of professional managers in marketing from across the globe, the engagement of specialized advisers for establishing and piloting such a system as well as building up a professional marketing and sales force.
