The Chemical Industry Museum of China was recently designated as one of the 53 popular science bases in the capital by an expert panel from the Beijing Science and Technology Commission and Beijing Science and Technology Association.
Located on the third floor of the ChemChina headquarters building, the museum was opened to the public on May 1st, 2008. As the first of its kind specialized in the chemical industry, the museum provides a panorama of the history and course of development of China's chemical industry with a collection of chemical antiques. Covering a total floor space of 2,540 square meters, the museum is composed of galleries depicting ancient, modern and contemporary chemical industries, ChemChina's businesses, as well as a 3D cinema, and other attractions.
