An expert group from China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) reviewed the testing center of Liming Research Institute of Chemical Industry (LRICI) for the CMA and laboratory accreditation. The review included on-site assessment of supervision, project expansion, quality system transformation, metrology quality system transformation and technology capability and metrology accreditation review. LRICI passed two accreditations after the three-day examination.
Experts commended effective operations of the quality management system and technology capabilities of the laboratory, which could meet accreditation standards and application demands in the chemical test field. They gave some advice for the management system and testing work as well.
The new chemical material testing center passed the CMA and laboratory accreditation in 2003. The center has been responsible for the analyses and testing work for national projects undertaken by LRICI and quality inspection for chemical special materials and LRICI’s products, which has made major contributions to scientific research and production of LRICI and chemical industry. In recent years, it has completed supervision tasks for local departments, and provided chemical production, scientific education, food processing, agricultural production and environment protection industry with testing, consultation and training services. After review, it would upgrade its hardware and software to improve its service level and become the most influential laboratory.
