Beijing Research & Design Institute of Rubber Industry had overcome torrential flooding on July 21 by taking effective prevention measures beforehand.
It was the heaviest downpour in Beijing since 1951. The institute held safety production meetings, tested lighting, tap water and drainage facilities, and cleaned up sewers and wells.
