Aeolus’ self-developed winter tire for truck and passenger cars recently received a utility model patent from the State Intellectual Property Office. The tire has proven through tests to have better control and has been well received and utilized by users.
The tire is specially designed for snow. It not only significantly raises the safety of braking in snow but can also easily adapt to dry road. Similar products used to be studded, which would often damage roads. Later, the pattern block was changed to provide more grip on snow, but it affected tire stability when racing on dry road.
The patent features a double zigzag pattern. The structure increases occlusal force between the tire and road, and strengthens tire longitudinal and transverse stiffness. The model overcomes previous bottlenecks, such as insufficient stiffness, and ensures its axial grooves fit well when the tire runs.
The patent has been applied in production, and tests reveal that it raises the tire’s stiffness by more than 50 percent compared with common two-dimension steel-disc structures.
