Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office released a list of the first national patent operation pilot companies. Southwest Research and Design Institute made the list.
The property office launched the list to implement innovation-driven development and intellectual property strategies, using the patent system to improve industrial innovation. It chose 35 companies for trial operations and will give them support for five years. The office will help them build an intellectual property management system, patent-powered company development mechanism and patent cooperation system to launch patent operations, strengthen patent asset management, and industrialize patented technology.
The list aims to motivate companies to pay attention to the role of patents in industrial development and to speed up new technology and product research and development. It will encourage the development of patent-related businesses and strengthen patent technology integration and the innovative operation model. It has set its sights on fostering a reserve of patents in key technological fields, improving market competitiveness and forming an innovative system for faster growth. It also seeks to secure company competitiveness among various industries.
In recent years, the Southwest Institute has seen an increase in patent applications. It has filed 237 patent applications, including 202 patents for inventions. It was ized for 135 patents, including 102 patents for inventions. It has continuously strengthened the management of patent research and submission management, and focuses on the transformation of patent application achievements, offering important technology support for the sustained steady and rapid growth of the company’s development.
