Cangzhou Dahua’s 160,000-ton ionic membrane caustic soda project finished construction and was successfully put into production on Nov 19.
The project involved a total investment of 460 million yuan ($75.77 million) and covered 80,500 square meters. Work on construction started on Sept 17 last year. Its success will play an important role in perfecting upstream and downstream industries and creating a circular economy.
Cangzhou Dahua is shaping up a modern industrial cluster led by TDI. The cluster includes highly-related industries and focuses on the circular economy. The 70,000-ton TDI single production unit, built on May 16 last year, has a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan. The unit brings a total capacity of 150,000 tons to Cangzhou Dahua, making it the biggest domestic TDI producer at the moment. The IM caustic soda project will provide stable raw materials for the TDI industry.
Ping Haijun, chairman of the company, said that they will control costs to finish construction of the industrial cluster.
