Recently, Qenos reached agreements respectively with Toll, and Santos & Origin Energy on supply of logistics and materials, with a total contracted value reaching up to 800 million AUD.
Toll is the largest transport and logistics provider in Australia and one of the leading integrated logistics providers in the Asian-Pacific Region. It provides a wide range of services, from road, rail, air and ocean shipment to warehousing and delivery, and has operation networks based in more than 40 countries including China. The logistics agreement between Qenos and Toll will last six years, with a contract value of 300 million AUD. Jonathan Clancy, CEO of Qenos noted that signing this agreement would continue Qenos's sound partnership with Toll and help Qenos improve services and reduce costs of logistics.
The agreement between Qenos on the one side and Santos and Origin Energy on the other specifies that Santos in cooperation with Origin Energy shall provide natural gas valued at 500 million AUD to Qenos in the next five years, for manufacturing of polyethylene products. Present at the agreement-signing ceremony were Anthony Roberts, Energy Minister of the New South Welsh State, James Baulderstone, Santos Vice President – Eastern Australia, and Paul Zealand, Origin Energy’s Upstream CEO. Jonathan indicated that Qenos’ cooperation with the two energy giants will pave the way for Qenos to maintain its productivity and even achieve higher productivity, and further expand the market share of its products. Meanwhile, in utilizing the energy and chemical resources of Australia, Qenos will create a sizable number of job opportunities in the local manufacturing industry.
In addition, Qenos signed with APA a supplementary agreement on the existing natural gas pipelines. The 1,200-kilometer pipeline transmits the natural gas from Moomba in South Australia to Botany where Qenos plants are located.
