The factory cleaning project of BASF’s Chongqing Plant undertook by Shanghai Bluestar Cleaning Company was completed by the end of March. The 2-month cleaning project covered chemical cleaning and high pressure water cleaning of tanks, pipe cleaning with PIGs, boiler cleaning through boil-out, etc.
The cleaning project of BASF’s Chongqing Plant was confronted with many challenges including cold weather, huge size of tanks, severe corrosion of inner walls of pipes, tight schedule, rigorous criteria for acceptance, etc. However, the team managed to complete all tasks with scientific planning and methodical work. Every team member tackled difficulties head-on and spared no effort during the whole project from investigating the conditions of the pipes, communicating with the client about working plans, organizing equipment and materials transportation, to equipment commissioning, carrying out various cleaning tasks, and acceptance test. The 74-day project was highly commended by the client for it has been completed satisfactorily with grime removed from surfaces of equipment, and cleanliness of inner walls of pipes and tanks meeting the production requirements
