At the beginning of the year, technical service staff of the company launched a targeted cooperation project with a real estate company in Huaihua city and technicians visited the customer’s construction sites to do experiments with an aim to determine the optimal dosage of PVA in cement mortar. With three sample apartments delivered, the customer was quite satisfied for the anti-crack effect of PVA use in cement mortar and started to purchase PVA fibers for similar construction projects.
In late March, the company had some technical exchanges with a paper mill in Guangdong on the use of PVA in papermaking, introducing in detail the performance, features and test methods for PVA fibers. In early April, the paper mill launched a trial of the PVA fiber products and the feedback was quite positive. In one and a half months, the use of Xiangwei PVA fibers was rapidly increased in the paper mill.
