Guangming Research & Design Institute of Chemical Industry and Dalian Polytechnic University have recently co-hosted the inauguration ceremony for the graduate training base to cooperate in cultivating graduate students. Guangming Institute GM Yue Chengjun, Deputy GM Han Jianguo of Dalian Research & Design Institute of Chemical Industry, Dean of the Graduate School Liu Guiwei and Dean of the School of Textile & Materials Engineering Zheng Laijiu of Dalian Polytechnic University attended the inauguration ceremony.
The collaboration is intended to implement the national, provincial and municipal educational programmes and the 13th Five-Year Plan of Guangming Institute, to provide intellectual and technical support for the talent cultivation and S&T innovation of both parties. The objective is to exercise the cultivation mode featuring school-enterprise cooperation and the integration of companies, universities and research institutes, explore new paths for collaborative cultivation of talents and innovative research, and foster high-caliber creative talents with command of scientific methods, good at technological research and valuing the combination of theoretical knowledge and the reality and capable of sustaining the company’s development.
The partnership between Guangming Institute and Dalian Polytechnic University has a long history. They have successfully applied for seven patents together and their collaborative research has claimed several provincial, ministerial awards for S&T inventions. In particular, China’s first 500L×2 supercritical water-free dyeing unit, designed and manufactured by Guangming Institute based on the joint research of the two, successfully went offline in 2015, a solid step towards the commercialization of the world advanced water free dyeing technology.
In the future, the training base will adhere to principles of resource co-building and sharing, advantage complementation and win-win cooperation, give full play to the advantages of Guangming Institute and Dalian Polytechnic University in research and resources, continue to diversity the forms and contents of collaborative innovation, and contribute to the scientific development of education as well as educational innovation and reform.
