The reporter learned from the Guilin Municipal Science and Technology Award Committee on September 29 that Guilin Rubber Machinery's innovation project "Development of Energy-saving and High-efficiency Tire Shaping and Curing Machine" won Guilin Second-class award for scientific and technological progress.
The project team developed energy-saving and high-efficiency machines for shaping and curing all-steel radial tires, with 1720 (67″) hydraulic tire curing press as the representative model. The project passed the acceptance inspection of Guangxi Industry and Information Technology Commission on May 7, 2014. According to the appraisal and acceptance opinions of the expert panel, opinion, the overall technology of the project product has reached the international advanced level. On May 3, 2016 the Guilin Municipal Science and Technology Award Committee publically announced the project that had passed review defense on the Guilin Daily.
The project is targeted at realizing an unmanned tire curing production line, and the product is suitable for curing high-grade all-steel radial tires in a highly accurate, efficient, automated, energy-saving, and environment-friendly manner. The energy-saving and high-efficiency tire shaping and curing machine developed adopts a new mechanical-hand rotary transfer mechanism with high reliability. The products use full-automation control, where one worker operates 16 curing machines. A safety protection device is introduced to ensure the convenience and safety of operation and maintenance in terms of hardware. A brand-new thermal insulation concept is adopted, by which the holding time inside the curing chamber is increased by 20 minutes due to a much better thermal insulation effect, and the temperature outside the curing chamber reduces from 80℃ to 40℃. As a result, working environment is greatly improved and energy loss is significantly reduced.
The project product is awarded two invention patents and two utility model patents. Up to now, 65 products have been sold, with sales revenue reaching RMB 205 million. With the growing domestic and overseas demand for hydraulic curing machines and the development trend toward modern unmanned factories, the project product will show higher and higher application and promotion value.
