Since 2016, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery) has been vigorously promoting marketing reform, seeking innovative service modes, actively diversifying its repair & maintenance business, to generate new economic growth points while providing more value-added services to customers. In 2016, the number of repair & maintenance orders it received was 200% more than last year, a record high.
To diversify repair & maintenance services, the company moved its representative office to Guangrao two years ago where tire and tape companies are concentrated, and set up Shandong Customer Service Center, or the “4S” store for rubber & plastics machinery. The center is equipped with salesmen and customer service professionals to upgrade its service mode. Later overhaul, spare parts and customer service centers were established in Jiangsu and Zhejiang where VIP clients are concentrated, as a special channel providing spare parts and overhaul services for them. “The opening of our 4S stores in Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang marks that we no longer act like firefighters in customer services; instead we can take the initiative to provide equipment test reports to customers, introduce the swap mode and offer total solutions for the use of equipment,” said the head of the repair & maintenance business from Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery.
Now the rubber & plastics machinery market is becoming saturated. Many tire companies have slowed down their pace of equipment procurement, but their old equipment, due to long service years, are in need of overhaul and even replacement. To address this need, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery proposed to buy back old equipment for lease while selling new equipment. The bought-back equipment will be leased to customers whose equipment needs overhaul, so that they don't have to shut down during the overhaul. Meanwhile, the overhaul can extend the service life of equipment and thus cut the cost for customers. For customers in need of new equipment, the company launched GN-275 mixer last year, an updated version of the GN255 mixer. It allows direct replacement on existing infrastructure, saving a lot of money for customers.
It’s learnt that the company will continue to explore more repair & maintenance modes to address customers’ needs, promote the 4s mode nationwide, and extend the scope of spare parts and repair & maintenance services, to benefit customers with more value-added services and serve corporate development.
