On the morning of March 22, a seven-person delegation headed by Goodyear Tire Akron Research Center Senior Director SurendrakChawla and Deputy General Manager Jim Euchner visited Beijing Research and Design Institute of Rubber Industry (BRDI) for technical communication.
The guests first of all visited China National Tire Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (CNTQSIC), and BRDI Executive Vice President Ma Liangqing introduced the researches made by the center on test and quality defect analysis of tire products. Afterwards, he introduced the achievements made by BRDI in R&D and application of new raw materials for tire, and Dr. Lu Ming made a report entitled “White Carbon Black NR Wet-process Mixing Technology”, highlighting the natural rubber wet-process mixing technology and its applications in TBR tread rubber and belt compound. The two sides conducted technical exchange on development and application of new materials, and agreed to cooperate with each other in the interested aspects in the future.
Also present at the exchange were CNTQSIC Executive Director Li Hongwei, R&D Center Director Li Huating, Materials Research Institute Director Chen Hong, Materials Research Institute Deputy Director Lu Ming, and Science & Technology Department Deputy Director Cai Shangmai.
