The “200,000-ton Cracking Furnace Industrial Application Technology” of Sinopec’s Science and Technology Department co-undertaken by Tianhua Institute and its partner has passed technical appraisal.
It is said that the 200,000 t/y ethylene cracking furnace is China’s largest -capacity cracking furnace. The successful application marks that China's cracking technology has entered a new stage.
In this project, Tianhua Institute is responsible for the development and design of the quench and heat exchange system and the combustion system, and the supply of the automatic control system for burners and dampers. After one year of operation and assessment, Tianhua Institute’s quench boiler system features long operating cycle and large gas production. In the combustion system, flat, rigid and stable flame meets the requirement of heat flux density, and NOx emissions and noise values are better than the latest national environmental standards. Related major technical and economic indicators have reached the world-leading level.
