Good news from Hangzhou Water Treatment Technology Development Center (hereinafter referred to as Hangzhou Water Treatment): The seawater desalination project located at MACANAO City, Venezuela, began to produce fresh water successfully through debugging recently.
As one of the key civil engineering projects of this island, the seawater desalination project has been highly valued by the Venezuelan government. The Vice President of this country has carried out investigations on spot for many times since the early stage of the construction. Hangzhou Water Treatment takes charge of technological design, equipment purchase, installation instruction and debugging, subsequent joint system operation for 18 months, and training of Venezuelan technicians etc.
In November 2017, the Venezuelan Ministry of Environmental Protection and Water Company send an expert team of 14 members to Hangzhou Water Treatment for field exchanges and learning which lasted for one month. Hangzhou Water Treatment won high praise from related Venezuelan experts with its strong technical strength, specialized experts team and capacity of million tons per day.
Under the guidance of the "Belt and Road" initiative in China, Hangzhou Water Treatment has helped a lot of regions establish seawater desalination systems. The completion of related projects in MACANAO, Venezuela will make a contribution to Hangzhou Water Treatment in forming the strategic layout with “the Silk Road Economic Belt” and “the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road” as the principal line, and South America and Africa as both wings to develope.
