ChemChina Logistics Co., Ltd. has completed the unloading of the Suezmax tanker SHENLONG SPIRIT for enterprises in the loading system. In the operation, ChemChina Logistics Company has innovated its working methods, optimized its operation process, and improved the unloading efficiency. The total unloading time of the ship is about one-third shorter than that of the same ship type, setting the shortest-time record for the unloading operation at the oil terminal of Longkou Port.
The SHENLONG SPIRIT Tanker is 275 meters long, 35 meters longer than an ordinary Aframax tanker, and has been the largest ship berthed since Longkou Port opened in 2004. At the beginning of berthing, the port group of the business department of ChemChina Logistics Company docked with the oil terminal of Longkou Port, and implemented safety protection measures and unloading optimization scheme one by one according to ship type, materials characteristics, and tank capacity, which not only met the requirements for safe operation but also improved the unloading efficiency to the maximum extent.
After the ship is safely berthed, the port group worked with Longkou Port and the commodity inspection company to operate according to the agreed loading and unloading plan, with three 50,000-m3 vertical storage tanks as receiving tanks and one 20,000-m3 vertical storage tank as standby. Under the condition that other operations are not affected, the three receiving tanks receive oil from three oil transfer arms at the same time. First, oil is unloaded using two lines at the wharf; then, the floating tray is lifted for two tanks upon one-thousand-cubic-meter verification; next, the loading line in the reservoir area is used to for the third tank when oil is received normally; and finally, the three tanks receive oil simultaneously. Such operation saves the lifting time of the floating tray and maximizes the unloading rate. This operation was recognized by the shipowner while setting the shortest-time record for the loading and unloading operation of the oil terminal at Longkou Port.
