Recently, Bluestar (Beijing) Chemical Machinery Co., Ltd. (BCMC) has sold its first electrolytic cell to North America. The equipment was shipped to Halifax of Canada from the Port of Tianjin. After nearly five years of business operations, BCMC has finally made a breakthrough in North America.
BCMC has begun to look for users in the market of North America since 2013, thanks to its unremitting efforts, BCMC entered the phase of initial communications with the Canadian AV GROUP NB INC in January 2018. In April 2018, BCMC completed onsite surveying and verified the onsite conditions for the equipment. After adjusting the plans on scope of supply, technical parameters, standard specifications and way of renovation, the two sides signed a contract for overall updating and upgrading of the 15,000-ton forced-circulation ionic membrane electrolytic cell on October 8, 2018. In December of the same year, the technical team consisting of the technical director and the chemical facility production director of AV GROUP NB INC visited BCMC to check the production process of the frame of the electrolytic cell, deepening the mutual understanding of the two sides. After the technical team returned to Canada, the two sides made further discussions on maintenance, upgrading and renovation of existing electrolytic cells in other chlor-alkali plants of Canada and North America, as well as carrying out cooperation in new areas.
BCMC always makes it a strategic goal to grow into a global leader in green energy-saving electrolysis technology”. It starts from the Southeast Asian market and takes gradual steps to go global. The project, by relying on the good performance and high operating stability of the equipment, is expected to play an exemplary role in BCMC’s electrolytic cell business in the future in the North American market and further promote diversified cooperation and exchanges between BCMC and its customers in other areas.
