On February 13, ADAMA announced the opening of a new multi-purpose plant with an investment of 50 million US dollars in Taquari, Brazil. It will be mainly used for producing Prothioconazole-based crop protection products, positioning ADAMA as one of the top global producers and a leading supplier of this important active ingredient.
Prothioconazole is a key active ingredient in the global fungicides market, which protects soybean crops against soybean rust, with estimated global sales of $1.2 billion. This additional capacity will support ADAMA’s launch of several new products to the Brazilian market.
